Grandma Sodaro's Famous Peach Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8-10 medium size Sodaro Orchards Peaches

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 Tbsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1 stick of butter

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350° degrees

  • First, peel and slice the peaches into a medium saucepan. Cook for approximately 5 minutes or until they reach a rolling boil. Add sugar to your liking along with cinnamon.

  • Drain peaches and save the juice in a separate bowl for serving.

(Note: Water is not necessary to add - the peaches will make their own juice)

  • Next, melt butter in a 9 x 12 glass pan and set aside to cool.

  • Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour gently over the melted butter.

  • Spoon peaches on top of batter mixture and cook for 35 minutes.

  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped topping and drizzle warm rendered peach juice over the top.
